Green IT Awareness Through a Serious Escape Game: Enedis Case Study

For the European Sustainable Development Weeks (SEDD), the Nord Pas de Calais regional division of Enedis (France's electricity distribution network operator) decided to try something new for its managers: an original awareness format, an online serious escape game on green IT (responsible digital).

A fun format to spread the CSR message

The initiative was led by the environment officer, who had already been won over by the game during a national session. She wanted to repeat the experience in her region to reach more employees, as part of a week dedicated to responsible digital.

Her goal? To approach a technical and strategic subject (the carbon footprint of digital technology, IT good practices, digital eco-gestures) from an angle that is educational, participatory and out of the ordinary.

Enthusiastic feedback from the managers

During the escape game, the managers worked together as a team to solve puzzles, take on challenges and move through an immersive storyline, learning more about responsible digital along the way.
