Why responsible digital can’t wait any longer
Digital tools make work easier, but they also have very real environmental impacts (pollution, depletion of resources) that are often underestimated.
The weight of hardware
Manufacturing devices accounts for most of the digital footprint. The real challenge is to extend the lifespan of equipment rather than replace it as a matter of course.
Invisible pollution
Obsolete data, emails, video calls… These seemingly harmless habits add up to a massive environmental footprint across the company.
A behavioral challenge
Responsible digital goes beyond technology: it is a human challenge. Digital sobriety requires every employee to get involved, well beyond the IT department.
Content built on trusted sources
Our scenario draws on scientific publications and recognized frameworks, so your awareness training stays up to date and in line with what the authorities expect.

What your teams will
master after the session
Beyond the game, the scenario is designed to build lasting habits. After the session, your employees leave with a clear framework and practical actions they can apply at work straight away.
Making the invisible visible
Understand that the ‘virtual’ world relies on heavy physical infrastructure. See the direct link between a digital habit and its real energy consumption.
Prioritizing hardware
Grasp that manufacturing devices accounts for the largest share of the impact. Learn why and how extending the life of your equipment is the number one action.
Data sobriety
Become aware of the weight of ‘dormant’ storage and duplicates. Build digital hygiene habits to limit information overload and make sensible use of the cloud and servers.
Busting myths
Tell symbolic actions (deleting an email) apart from high-impact structural ones. Avoid internal ‘greenwashing’ and focus on the levers that really work.
Inclusion and accessibility
Don’t forget the social side: understand digital accessibility issues (for people with disabilities) and why the right to disconnect matters for mental health.
Taking action
Turn individual awareness into collective commitment. During the debrief, agree together on shared ground rules that apply as soon as everyone is back at work.

Still have a question?
We’ll tell you everything!
Here you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about organizing, running and pricing our online escape games for businesses.
What will your employees learn about responsible digital?
That the ‘virtual’ world relies on very physical infrastructure, and that manufacturing devices weighs more heavily than using them. The scenario helps people tell symbolic actions (deleting an email) apart from the levers that really count: keeping devices for longer, limiting unnecessary storage and choosing low-impact habits. It also covers the social side of digital technology: accessibility and the right to disconnect.
What sources does your serious game draw on?
The content is based on the work of recognized organizations: the IPCC for the climate framework, ADEME for the environmental footprint of digital technology in France, GreenIT.fr for impact studies and the Institut du Numérique Responsable for best practice. It also places these issues within the French and European regulatory framework: the REEN Act, the AGEC Act and the CSRD directive on sustainability reporting.
How is it different from a Digital Collage (Fresque du Numérique)?
The Digital Collage is a collective reflection workshop, run in small groups around cards, over about three hours. Our escape room focuses on action and play: 90 minutes in total, for 8 to 500 participants (more on request) at the same time, online or on-site. The two formats complement each other well: the escape room to engage large numbers, the collage to go further with volunteers.
How long does the responsible digital awareness session last?
Allow 90 minutes: an introductory video, a five-stage mission (puzzles, a recap video and a reinforcement quiz at each stage), then a wrap-up and discussion. Participants play in teams of 1 to 4, and a session can bring together 8 to 500 people (more on request) at once. The scenario is available in French and English, online or on-site.
Can we include our own eco-actions and commitments?
Yes. The introductory video can present your responsible digital strategy and goals, the eco-actions highlighted in the game can reflect your own initiatives (extending the lifespan of your devices, storage rules, charter), and a tailored follow-up email points to your internal resources. Your employees leave with actions that genuinely match their working environment.
Can we run the session during Digital Cleanup Day?
Yes, it is a great moment to get people on board. Every year in March, Digital Cleanup Day encourages everyone to sort through their data and devices. An opening serious game session gives the initiative meaning: your teams understand why to clean up and what to tackle first, then take action.
Is responsible digital only a matter for the IT department?
No. Responsible digital goes beyond technology: it is a human challenge that needs every employee on board. The IT department acts on the device fleet, purchasing and infrastructure, but each employee decides how long to keep their phone, what to attach to emails and how to use video calls. That is why our scenario is designed for every role, with no technical prerequisites.
Which companies have already used this serious game?
Our responsible digital serious game has been played by companies and organizations of all sizes. Groupe BPCE was the first to raise its teams’ awareness of responsible digital through play, and several case studies are published on our blog: Enedis, Accenture Belgium, ADN Ouest and CEAPC during Digital Cleanup Day.
